Producer Dinesh Vijan is reportedly planning a prequel to his 2018 film 'Stree,' in which Shraddha Kapoor delivered a spine-chilling performance. As per a report in PeepingMoon, Shraddha has agreed to reprise her role in the horror-comedy sequel and the film is likely to go on floors in August this year.
Marathi filmmaker Aditya Sarpotdar will reportedly be directing the film. He is known for his work in films like 'Mauli,' 'Zombivali' and Voot Select series 'The Raikeer Case'
'Stree' also starred Rajkummar Rao in the lead role.

This prequel will be a part of Vijan's horror comedy universe which includes 2021 film 'Roohi,' starring Janhvi Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao and Varun Sharma, and his forthcoming project 'Bhediya,' starring Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon.
Shraddha Kapoor is currently busy shooting for Luv Ranjan’s untitled film along with Ranbir Kapoor. Besides this, Shraddha will also be seen in ‘Chaalbaaz In London,’ which is being directed by Pankaj Parashar.
