90s nostalgia will be back to big screen. This Holi, Cinepolis is celebrating the timeless era of Bollywood by re-releasing some of the iconic hit films of 1990s. The special film festival will begin from March 22 to March 30.
Fans will be able to relive the magic of the most nostalgic era of Bollywood in theatres. The films which will be re-released include Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Shilpa Shetty starrer super hit ‘Baazigar’, Akshay Kumar’s 'Khiladi' and Akshay and Saif Ali Khan’s ‘Main Khiladi Tu Anari’.
King Khan also shared the exciting update with a poster of his superhit film ‘Baazigar’. Taking to his Instagram, the superstar wrote, “Flashback to a time when magic unfolded on the silver screen! Inviting you to relive those moments at our Retro Film Festival with the iconic Bollywood classic - “Baazigar.” As someone who had the privilege to bring this magic to life, I’m thrilled to join you in this nostalgic journey. Let’s celebrate the timeless era of Bollywood together!” Kajol also shared the poster on her Instagram handle.
The 1993 blockbuster remains a significant film in SRK’s career as it turned out to be a turning point for him. Despite his negative role, he received immense love from the audiences and established an identity for himself.
The ‘Retro Film Festival’ will take place in a total of 25 Cinepolis theatres throughout the country. Each day, two films from the golden era of cinema will be screened at 1pm and 7pm. The fest comes after PVR-INOX's Nostalgia Film Festival last month, where several romantic films were screened.
