Ever since the trailer for the Akshay Kumar starrer Bachchhan Paandey got released, everyone has been talking about his deadly look. Kumar sports a stone eye in the film and this grim avatar has taken the audience by storm.

There had been reports about Sajid Nadiadwala, Akshay Kumar, and Farhad Samji having a run-through with numerous outfits and looks before finalising the grim avatar. Akshay will be seen in two contrasting characters in the upcoming film. While one explores Akshay's soft and happy side, the other shows him as a rowdy gangster.

Sources close to the film reveal that Akshay Kumar’s stone eye acts as an all-important plot point in the film and that, it also sets the context for what happens to Bachchhan Paandey before and after he becomes a gangster. The same source added, “The stone eye wasn’t a random idea to build on Akshay’s look in the film but it is crucial to the story. It’s symbolic of everything that happens to him before and after and how he becomes the gangster that he is. It will definitely leave you at the edge of your seat.”

Besides Akshay Kumar, ‘Bachchhan Paandey’ also stars Kriti Sanon, Arshad Warsi, Pankaj Tripathi, Sanjay Mishra, Abhimanyu Singh, and Jacqueline Fernandez. The film is being directed by Farhad Samji and bankrolled by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. ‘Bachchhan Paandey’ is all set to release in cinemas on 18th March 2022.
