Actor Aayush Sharma, in a recent interview, responded to the shooting incident outside his brother-in-law Salman Khan's Mumbai residence. Aayush mentioned that the incident has been a challenging period for the family.
‘We are his family. It is a tough time for us. And we all as a family stand together,’ Aayush told ANI.
Although he refrained from commenting directly on the firing incident, Aayush Sharma did commend the Mumbai Police.
‘A competent Mumbai Police has done a great job in doing what they’re doing, and the matter is still under investigation. So, at this stage, I would just say thank you, to everybody who has sent their love and prayers, that means a lot. And as you all know he’s (Salman Khan) back to work so am I,’ he added.
Recently, Salim Khan also addressed the firing incident. During an interview with India Today, he remarked, ‘There's nothing to discuss about these ignorant individuals who threaten violence. We've received additional police protection. The Mumbai Police has guaranteed our safety and that of our friends. The fact that they've apprehended two individuals today shows they are actively pursuing the case.’
Salim also noted that Salman has been advised to maintain his regular routine. He mentioned that, as the issue is under police investigation, they have been instructed not to discuss it publicly.
On April 14, two men fired shots at Salman's Galaxy Apartments. The assailants have been apprehended, and investigations are ongoing. Mumbai Crime Branch has identified gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and his brother Anmol Bishnoi as wanted suspects in the case. Security around Salman has been heightened.
In the meantime, Salman resumed work during the weekend. He traveled to Dubai on April 19 for an event, with heightened security, and avoided media interaction.
