Following the firing incident outside Salman Khan's house on April 14, his father, Salim Khan, reassured everyone that there was 'nothing to worry about.' He dismissed the incident as a publicity stunt.
‘There is nothing to tell. They just want publicity, there is no need to worry,’ he said.
Salman Khan is yet to address the incident.
Prem Raj Soni, director of 'Main Aur Mrs Khanna' and Salman Khan's neighbour, provided an update on the superstar's well-being. According to India Today, Soni stated, ‘He's absolutely fine from what I know. Everything's being taken care of. Things are under control and there's nothing to worry about.’
Soni resides in the same building as Salman Khan. When asked about the residents' feelings regarding the incident, Soni added, ‘It's rather worrying for all of us. But honestly, the authorities are taking care of it and we are all safe.’
On April 14 morning, two individuals on a bike reportedly fired three shots outside Salman's apartment. Security has since been heightened, and a case has been filed against the unidentified individuals.
Reports indicated that three shots were fired into the air. Subsequently, security around Salman's house has been increased. A case has been filed against the unidentified individuals involved in the shooting. Police sources stated that a 7.62 weapon was used in the incident. The bikers reportedly headed towards the Western Express Highway, raising the possibility that they may have left Mumbai. Police sources also mentioned that the shooters are from outside Maharashtra. Mumbai Police have started efforts to apprehend the suspects by reviewing CCTV footage.
Earlier this year, Mumbai Police filed an FIR against gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar, along with another individual, after an email threatening Salman Khan at his Mumbai residence was received. It was openly declared that the Bollywood superstar was on their gang's hit list.
Salman Khan made his most recent public appearance on Eid, greeting fans gathered outside his house. He also announced his new film, ‘Sikander,’ with AR Murugadoss, set to release next Eid.
