'Sam Bahadur': Katrina Kaif lauds Vicky Kaushal's 'flawless' act; says he's 'true to his craft'

Ahead of Sam Bahadur's theatrical release, Katrina Kaif took to social media to laud her husband, actor Vicky Kaushal's performance in the biographical drama.

Calling the movie a 'poetic beautiful classic', Katrina praised Meghna Gulzar's passion for storytelling and attention to detail in every shot.

She added that Vicky is true to his craft in the most beautiful integral way and she was proud to watch him shine his way across the screen.

‘SAM BAHADUR – @meghnagulzar such a poetic beautiful classic film, was transported to another era .. you can see your passion to telling his story and attention to detail in every shot. And SAM !!!!….. GRACE, HEROISM , GRIT. What a performance, flawless, I’m just astounded , you are too inspiring , true to your craft in the most brilliant integral way, was so proud to watch you shine your way across the screen . I’ve seen you this last year pour yourself into this film and transform into sam. A performance to be remembered,’ she wrote.

Earlier, Vicky Kaushal praised Meghna Gulzar's meticulousness on the film set. During an interview with Ranveer Allahbadia, Vicky highlighted the profound sense of ‘glory’ associated with embodying the character of Sam Manekshaw, suggesting a significant responsibility to honour the legacy of this iconic figure.

‘Whenever I would interact with the Army, they would be very encouraging, show a lot of faith and give a lot of love. But they would always end the conversation saying, ‘You better do a good job, he was our best man.’ That would always scare me a little bit,’ he added.

Vicky Kaushal's upcoming film ‘Sam Bahadur’ marks his third release this year, following ‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke’ and ‘The Great Indian Family.’ It is set to go head-to-head at the box office with ‘Animal,’ featuring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role.
