Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who is eagerly awaiting the release of her forthcoming thriller ‘Yashoda’, recently disclosed that she’s going through a rough patch health-wise. The actor is recovering from an autoimmune condition called Myositis. In a promotional interview, Samantha opened up about her illness and recalled the journey she went through battling her condition
An emotional Samantha said, ‘As I said in my post (Instagram), some days are good, some are bad. Some days, I’ve felt even taking one more step would be difficult. But when I look back, I wonder I’ve gone through so much and have come this far. I’m here to fight.’
She also clarified that her condition is not life-threatening and the exaggerated headlines were very unnecessary.
‘I want to clear one thing. I saw a lot of articles describing my condition as life-threatening. The stage I’m in, it’s not life-threatening. At the moment, I’m not dead yet. I don’t think those headlines were very necessary,’ she said.
Samantha plays a courageous surrogate in ‘Yashoda’, who tries to unfold the secrets of a serious medical crime. Directed by Hareesh Narayan and Hari Shankar, 'Yashoda' is all set to release in theatres on November 11.
