Akshay Kumar and Radhika Madan's next film, titled 'Sarfira', is set to release worldwide in cinemas on July 12, 2024. Directed by National Award winner Sudha Kongara, the film is a remake of Suriya's 'Soorarai Pottru'.

Sharing a glimpse of the film, Akshay Kumar wrote on Instagram, ‘Dream so Big, they call you Crazy! #Sarfira releasing only in cinemas on 12th July, 2024 (sic).’

The video showcases Akshay Kumar smiling with arms open on a bike and later with a serious expression next to a plane.

About ‘Sarfira’

‘Sarfira’ marks Akshay Kumar’s return to social dramas after hits like 'Baby' and 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha'. It also stars Paresh Rawal, Radhika Madan, and Seema Biswas in pivotal roles.

Penned by Sudha and Shalini Ushadevi, with dialogues by Pooja Tolani, and music by G.V. Prakash Kumar, 'Sarfira' is produced by Aruna Bhattia (Cape of Good Films), Suriya and Jyothika (2D Entertainment), and Vikram Malhotra (Abundantia Entertainment).

Set in the startup and aviation world, 'Sarfira' promises to inspire people to chase their dreams despite challenges. It's a tale of resilience against social barriers like class and caste, with an underdog's journey at its core. The film is slated for a theatrical release on July 12, 2024.

Akshay Kumar’s other projects

Apart from ‘Sarfira,’ Akshay Kumar is set to star in ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ alongside Tiger Shroff. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, the film is scheduled for an Eid 2024 release. Shot in various locations including Mumbai, London, Abu Dhabi, Scotland, and Jordan, it's generating buzz for its grand scale and Hollywood-style visuals.

Prithviraj Sukumaran plays an intriguing villain, while Sonakshi Sinha, Manushi Chhillar, and Alaya F also feature prominently. ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ faces a big Bollywood clash with Ajay Devgn's period sports drama ‘Maidaan.’
