The trailer of ‘Sarfira’, starring Akshay Kumar and Radhika Madan, has been released. This film, a remake of Suriya’s Soorarai Pottru, is based on the life of G. R. Gopinath, founder of the low-cost airline Simplifly Deccan.

The film follows a common man's journey as he starts a low-cost aviation company, highlighting his determination against financial and societal barriers. In the trailer, Akshay Kumar says, ‘I want to break not just the cost barrier, but the caste barrier for the common man.’

The trailer release was announced with a new poster featuring Akshay Kumar on a motorcycle.

A few days ago, a leaked video showed Akshay Kumar and Radhika Madan filming a dance sequence on a terrace with two others. Akshay Kumar's film is set to release on July 12. Last week, the first poster was unveiled by Taran Adarsh on Instagram.

His caption read, ‘AKSHAY KUMAR: ‘SARFIRA’ FIRST POSTER UNVEILS… 12 JULY RELEASE… #Sarfira marks #AkshayKumar and director #SudhaKongara’s first collaboration and releases in cinemas on 12 July 2024. #Sarfira also features #PareshRawal, #RadhikaMadan, and #SeemaBiswas. Produced by Aruna Bhatia [Cape Of Good Films], Suriya and Jyotika [2D Entertainment], and Vikram Malhotra [Abundantia Entertainment]. Music by GV Prakash Kumar.’

The original 2020 Tamil drama, directed by Sudha Kongara and produced by Suriya and Guneet Monga under their banners 2D Entertainment and Sikhya Entertainment, was conceptualized and written by Kongara. The film starred Suriya, Aparna Balamurali, and Paresh Rawal, with supporting roles played by Mohan Babu, Urvashi, and Karunas.
