Veteran actor-filmmaker Satish Kaushik passed away following a heart attack on Thursday. He is survived by his wife and daughter Vanshika Kaushik. His daughter remembered him with an emotional post on social media.
She shared a picture on Instagram in which she is seen hugging the late actor as they posed for the camera. She just dropped a red heart emoji as her caption. Emotional fans are flooding the comment section with condolences.
One user commented. 'He will be missed. May God give you and Shashi aunty strength in this difficult time. My deepest condolences. Om Shanti.' Another wrote, 'Your dad will always be with you. He loves you and he will always love you. God bless you and your family.'
The last rites of Satish Kaushik were held in Mumbai on Thursday evening.
Besides being an actor and director, Satish Kaushik was also a producer, comedian, and screenwriter. He is best known for his roles as Calendar in ‘Mr. India’, Pappu Pager in ‘Deewana Mastana’, and Chanu Ahmed in Sarah Gavron's British film ‘Brick Lane’. He has won the Filmfare Best Comedian Award twice – for ‘Ram Lakhan’ in 1990 and for ‘Saajan Chale Sasural’ in 1997.
