Actor Harman Baweja is back in the spotlight, courtesy of Hansal Mehta’s web series ‘Scoop’, in which he plays ACP Shroff.
Now, the director has penned a special note for his actor saying that he silenced all his ‘Critic Roshans’ with his performance.
Sharing a picture with Harman, Hansal Mehta wrote, ‘Harman Baweja has truly been a revelation. Silencing his ‘Critic Roshans’ with his performance. Here’s Baweja proving that nothing is ever ‘Bewajah’. And in the process making all of us proud.’
In a recent Netflix video, Harman had made fun of the criticism he had received. ‘Oh God! Please. Let me silence my Hrithiks. I mean critics. I thought I knew what the future would be, but I was wrong. But I was not the only one. Even they were wrong,’ the actor said, pointing to the headlines ‘Harma Be-Waja’ and ‘The Future Doesn’t Look Roshan For Him’.
The actor then said, ‘You know what I call my haters? Critic Roshans.’
Harman made his acting debut with ‘Love Story 2050’ opposite Priyanka Chopra in 2008.
The film tanked at the box office and so did his next few films.
He quit the industry after his 2014 film ‘Dishkiyaoon’. Throughout his career, Harman constantly compared with superstar Hrithik Roshan.
‘Scoop’, which is inspired by Jigna Vora’s biographical book ‘Behind The Bars In Byculla: My Days in Prison’, is created by Hansal Mehta and ‘Thappad’ co-writer Mrunmayee Lagoo.
The series stars Karishma Tanna as Jagruti Pathak, an ambitious crime journalist, who becomes a murder suspect.
