Shah Rukh Khan in talks to star in 'Baazigar' sequel? Here's what we know

Shah Rukh Khan starrer cult classic ‘Baazigar’ is joining the bandwagon of sequels. Producer Ratan Jain has confirmed that the film’s sequel is in the works. Cherry on the cake- Jain is reportedly in talks with Shah Rukh Khan about reprising his iconic role.  

According to a Times Now report, ‘Baazigar’ sequel is currently in its early stage and fans will have to wait for a little while for the official announcement. Producer Ratan Jain told ETimes that the team has several exciting ideas. He added that the key to success lies in creating a compelling script and a fresh direction that will live up to the high standards set by the original.  

‘Baazigar’ has completed 31 years of its release, but its cinematic impact is celebrated even today. The romantic thriller became a turning point in SRK’s career as he received immense love for his anti-hero role. At the same time, his chemistry with Kajol gave the industry one of its most iconic on-screen pairs.  

Shah Rukh Khan is currently gearing up for his upcoming project, ‘King’. The film will mark Suhana Khan’s theatrical debut and first collaboration with her superstar father. Besides SRK and Suhana, Abhishek Bachchan will also be part of the project. ‘King’ will be directed by Sujoy Ghosh and the shoot will reportedly begin in January 2025.
