Shah Rukh Khan lauds Team India’s sincere efforts after World Cup loss: ‘there are always bad day or two’

After Team India’s disheartening defeat in the ICC World Cup final against Australia, fans and celebrities stood in support of the Men in Blue and acknowledged their exceptional performance throughout the tournament.

Shah Rukh Khan who was among the spectators at Narendra Modi Stadium, took to X and posted a message for Team India.

‘The way the Indian team has played this whole tournament is a matter of honour and they showed great spirit and tenacity. It’s a sport and there are always a bad day or two. Unfortunately it happened today….but thank u Team India for making us so proud of our sporting legacy in cricket…u bring too much cheer to the whole of India. Love and respect. You make us one proud Nation,’ he wrote.

Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Baazigar’ co-star Kajol and her husband Ajay Devgn also penned a note on their respective Instagram handles.

Kajol wrote, ‘Haarkar jeetne waale ko baazigar kehte hai. Well played Team India. Congratulations Australia on another World Cup. #WorldCupFinal’.

Ajay Devgn shared, ‘India your relentless spirits throughout the championship was a victory in itself. Heads high.’

SRK along with Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh were clicked supporting Team India at the stands. Several viral videos gave a glimpse of the stars watching the match with their family from the VIP stands.

Deepika was accompanied by her sister and father, Anisha Padukone and Prakash Padukone. SRK watched the match with his wife Gauri, and kids Aryan and Suhana.

Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in Atlee’s ‘Jawan’ alongside Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi. Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Dutt had special appearances in the blockbuster film.

Shah Rukh is now gearing up for the release of his film ‘Dunki’. The Rajkumar Hirani directorial also stars Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal. It is scheduled to be released in the theatres on December 22.
