Shah Rukh Khan made this promise to his fans in his acceptance speech at DPIFF

After having the most successful year at box office in 2023, Shah Rukh Khan received the award for Best Actor at Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2024. He received the award for his role in ‘Jawan’.

Shah Rukh Khan’s acceptance speech 

King Khan delivered a heart-felt speech as he accepted the award. The clip of Shah Rukh’s speech is going viral and receiving lots of love from SRK fans. Shah Rukh mentioned how he had not received awards in a long time and felt that he would not get it again. A humble Shah Rukh Khan said, "I have not received the Best Actor Award in a long time. It seemed as if I would not get it again. I am extremely happy. I like awards. I am a bit greedy.” Making a humourous joke, the actor added, “Vidhu Vinod Chopra likes it more than me. We will share it Vinod.” 

While he received award for his performance, Shah Rukh Khan did not forget to acknowledge the hard work put in by his team. He said, “Work of an artist is not important all the people around him or her make everything come together... so a lot of people’s hard work is involved in making ‘Jawan’ and helping me win this award.” 

SRK’s promise to his audience 

From the stage, Shah Rukh Khan also made promise to keep entertaining his audience. He said, “I promise I will keep working hard and entertain India and people who are living abroad... whether it takes me to dance, to fall, to fly, to romance, to be evil, to be a bad guy, to be a good guy. Inshallah, I will keep working hard.”

SRK made a stunning comeback in 2023 after taking a hiatus of four years. His ‘Pathaan’, ‘Jawan’ and ‘Dunki’, collectively earned more than ₹ 2,500 worldwide. The actor is set to return as ‘Pathaan’ in the sequel, which is expected to go on floors by 2024.
