Shah Rukh Khan’s 2023 blockbuster ‘Jawan’ set to release in Japan, advance sales to begin soon

Shah Rukh Khan’s magic is all set to take over Japan as his blockbuster ‘Jawan’ is going to release in the country. The advance sales of tickets will begin nearly five months ahead of film’s release. 

'Jawan' to release in Japan

Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Jawan’ will have a theatrical release in Japan on November 29, 2024, while the advance sale of tickets will begin on July 5. Directed by Atlee, the action packed drama will be distributed by Twin.  

Making the announcement, the official X handle of the distributor, shared the trailer and a poster of the film. The distributor revealed that advance ticket sales for the film will begin in July. As a bonus gift, all the movie-goers who buy ticket in advance will be gifted Shah Rukh Khan posters from his much-loved song ‘Chaleya’.  

About ‘Jawan’ 

‘Jawan’ was the highest grossing film of 2023, minting Rs 1,148.32 crore worldwide. The action thriller ranks second in the list of highest-grossing Bollywood film overseas, with USD 47.60 million.

Directed by Atlee, the film is produced by Gauri Khan and Gaurav Verma under Red Chillies Entertainment. Besides Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara, Deepika Padukone, Vijay Sethupathi, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra and Sunil Grover featured in main roles.

SRK to receive honour 

Meanwhile, ‘Jawan’ star Shah Rukh Khan will be honoured with Career Achievement Award at the 77th edition of the Locarno Film Festival. He is the first Indian personality to be honoured with the 'Pardo alla Carriere Ascona-Locarno Tourism'. 
The 58-year-old actor will receive the award on August 10 at the Piazza Grande, located in Locarno, Switzerland. His 2002 film ‘Devdas’, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, will also be screened during the gala, set to commence on August 7. Shah Rukh, who completed 32 years in cinema last week, will also appear at the Forum @Spazio Cinema for a conversation open to the public on August 11.
