‘Shaitaan’ Day 2 collection: Ajay Devgn-R Madhavan’s film picks up pace, crosses ₹ 30 crore

Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan’s hostage horror flick is set to be the second highest grossing Hindi film after ‘Fighter’. The film which opened at ₹14.75 crore gained momentum on Saturday and has minted ₹18.25 crore on second day at box office. 

‘Shaitaan’ witnessed an overall 33.65% occupancy across its Hindi shows on Saturday. According to Sacnilk, night shows contributed 50.84% of the occupancy while evening shows had 37.31% occupancy. Afternoon shows managed to log an overall 28.45% occupancy while lowest occupancy was witnessed in the morning at 18.01%. The film has received great response surpassing the estimates by trade analysts.  

More late night shows for ‘Shaitaan’ 

In view of more occupancy at late night shows, many cinema halls and multiplexes in Mumbai have added midnight shows of the film from Saturday. Many shows of the film now start from 11:59 pm which are receiving positive feedback from the audience.  

Day 3 advance booking 

‘Shaitaan’ has crossed ₹30 crore in just 2 days of its release. With Sunday to go, the film has already sold over 2.28 lakh tickets worth ₹5.5 crore on the third day.

Amid the massive anticipation, the supernatural horror thriller received a positive review from the moviegoers. Fans took to social media to praise the powerful performances by the lead actors Ajay Devgn, R Madhavan and Jyothika. From the thrill to emotional roller-coaster, ‘Shaitaan’ passed the test of expectations on X.

Packed with talented star cast, the film is directed by Vikas Bahl. ‘Shaitaan’ is the official Hindi remake of Vash, a Gujarati horror thriller. ‘Shaitaan’ delves into the timeless clash between virtue and villainy, offering an enthralling cinematic narrative. With the support of Jio Studios, Devgn Films, and Panorama Studios, the movie boasts a production team including Ajay Devgn, Jyoti Deshpande, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Abhishek Pathak.
