The titled track of Ranbir Kapoor's 'Shamshera' has been released by Yash Raj Films. The video shows Balli transforming into a leader for his tribe to fulfill his father's legacy. He fights off the Britishers as Shamshera, and with Daroga Shuddh Singh as Balli. The song has been crooned by Sukhwinder Singh and Abhishek Nailwal with additional vocals from Godswill Mergulhao, Anand Bhaskar, Varun Likhate, and Siddharth Basrur. The lyrics of the song have been penned by Mithoon, who also composed the music for it.
'Shamshera' marks Ranbir Kapoor's return to the big screen after a gap of four years. He portrays the protagonist in the period drama. This is the first time he'll be seen in a dual role as a father and son.
The film stars Sanjay Dutt as the antagonist, Daroga Shuddh Singh, and Vaani Kapoor as Sona.
'Shamshera,' directed by Karan Malhotra, will release on July 22, in three languages - Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
