Actor Shefali Shah has reacted to the recent ‘boycott Bollywood’ trend on Twitter in an interview with India Today. Over the last few months, big budget films such as ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, ‘Raksha Bandhan’ and ‘Liger’ have faced boycott calls and the chorus for boycotting Bollywood seems to be growing louder.
Talking about the same in a chat with India Today, Shefali said that she doesn’t feel this trend will last long. When questioned about the notion that Hindi film industry is ‘dying’, the actor said that films are a culture like cricket and they can’t die. She said that people have their opinions, but they still receive a lot of love and appreciation. Shefali added that the industry should take the rough phase in its stride and just say ‘we tried’ and ‘we moved one’.
Shefali was last seen in Alia Bhatt’s maiden production venture ‘Darlings’. She is now set to feature in the second season of Netflix’s ‘Delhi Crime’, which will begin streaming from August 26.
