‘Shehzada’, starring Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon, opened to poor reviews and it has failed to get the expected numbers at the box office. The Rohit Dhawan directorial earned ₹6 crore on its first day, and it showed a little improvement in its opening weekend, collecting ₹20.2 crore in three days.
Sharing the box office numbers, trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote, ‘#Shehzada doesn’t live up to the expectations… The weekend biz is below the mark… The *big* jump / turnaround on Sat and Sun - to improve its prospects - is clearly missing… Fri 6 cr, Sat 6.65 cr, Sun 7.55 cr. Total: ₹ 20.20 cr [+/-]. #India biz.’
‘Shehzada’ revolves around a middle-class boy Bantu, who comes to realize that he is the actual child of a millionaire industrialist. The movie marks Kartik Aaryan’s debut as a producer.
Besides Kartik and Kriti, ‘Shehzada’ also stars Paresha Rawal and Manisha Koirala. Directed by Rohit Dhawan, the film is official Hindi remake of Telugu film 'Ala Vaikunthapurramloo' which starred actor Allu Arjun in the lead role.
Hollywood film ‘Antman and The Wasp: Quantumania’ which also released on Friday is doing better at the box office.
