Shweta Bachchan made a surprising revelation about Amitabh Bachchan during an appearance on her daughter Navya Naveli Nanda’s podcast ‘What The Hell Navya Season 2.’ Shweta shared tidbits about the Bachchan family and revealed that Amitabh dislikes it when the women of the family cut their hair short. Navya confirmed her mother’s revelation during their conversation.

Reflecting on her youth, Shweta revealed how she often cut her hair short, which her father disapproved of. She recalled, ‘Nana used to not like it. No.’ Navya added, ‘He hates it. Even when I cut my hair, he’s always like, ‘Why did you do it?’ He prefers long hair. He doesn’t like it when any of us cut our hair.’

During the podcast, Navya Naveli asked about Amitabh Bachchan's preferred moisturizer, to which Jaya Bachchan replied, ‘Mustard oil.’

She explained, ‘It’s a body moisturizer. Oh. That’s a very typical UP habit.’

Considering Amitabh's roots in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, she continued, ‘And Nana used to be obsessed. Put mustard oil on the children. But it’s very sharp. It’s very sharp.’

With Amitabh coming from Uttar Pradesh and Jaya from a Bengali background, Shweta humorously contrasted their views on mustard oil. She quipped, ‘They (Bengalis) cook so much with mustard oil. They don’t mind using it for cooking but don’t want it on their body. And then UPites want to apply it on their body but not cook with it. So, if you have a Bengali and a UPite, you end up using it for both cooking and body.’
