‘SYL,’ Sidhu Moose Wala’s first song posthumously, was released by his team on his official YouTube channel on Thursday evening. The song, written and sung by Moose Wala, garnered over one million views within an hour. It highlights various matters of Punjab such as the Satluj Yamana Link canal issue, Sikh prisoner and the recent agitation against the farm laws.
Post the song’s release, emotional fans remembered the slain singer for the talented artist that he was. One fan called him a ‘true legend’ and wrote that Moose Wala’s ‘song writing capabilities and voice can’t be replaced.’ Another commented, ‘Always in our hearts. LEGENDS NEVER DIE’
Earlier this month, Moose Wala's parents urged all music producers to not share or release any of his unfinished tracks with anyone. It was further stated that Sidhu Moose Wala’s father will decide everything related to his unreleased songs.
Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, known by his stage name Sidhu Moose Wala, was shot dead in Punjab's Mansa district on May 29, a day after the state government withdrew his security cover. Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi was the mastermind behind the singer’s killing.
