Singer KK's family reaches Kolkata, to take his mortal remains back to Mumbai

Renowned singer KK passed away shortly after his performance at a concert in Nazrul Mancha in Kolkata on Tuesday. The singer who was feeling unwell during the show was rushed to CMRI hospital by the organisers of the event. He was declared dead by the doctors on arrival.

The singer's family has now reached Kolkata.

As per the News18 report, after the body identification process and family's consent, the postmortem for KK's body will be conducted at Kolkata's SSKM hospital. His family will take his mortal remains back to Mumbai.

KK released his first album 'Pal' in 1999. The singer-composer is best known for giving hit songs such as 'Tadap Tadap' from 1999 movie 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam' and 'Dus Bahane' from 2005 film of the same name. He is survived by his wife and two children.
