‘Singham Again’ and ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ witnessed one of the biggest box office clash this Diwali. Both the films have crossed ₹200 crore collection at the box office even though Rohit Shetty’s cop drama is a little ahead than Anees Bazmee’s horror comedy in the race.
T-Series head Bhushan Kumar opened up about the clash and what went behind the scenes before the release date. Speaking to Connect Cine, Bhushan Kumar revealed that the ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ team had raised concerns over the distribution of screens. “We had a lot of arguments with the Singham Again team because they were being unfair,” Kumar said.
T-Series had demanded a 50-50 screen allocation for the Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan and Triptii Dimri starrer. However, Bhushan Kumar said that personal interests played a role in the disparity. Kumar also admitted having several heated discussions. The situation eventually got better as both the films performed well.
Bhushan Kumar also explained that he could not delay the release of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ as he had OTT commitments to fulfill. He emphasised that future clashes between the two films should be avoided, as it harms the overall business.
