‘Sikandar’: Rashmika Mandanna to work with Salman Khan in AR Murugadoss' film

Actor Rashmika Mandanna is all set to star opposite Salman Khan in AR Murugadoss’ action film ‘Sikandar’. Mandanna expressed her excitement and gratitude on Twitter and said she’s feeling honoured to join the cast of ‘Sikandar.’

She shared, ‘You guys have been asking me for the next update, and here it is... Surprise!! I am truly grateful and honored to be a part of #Sikandar.’

The production of ‘Sikandar’ is set to begin shooting in May, with filming planned in India and Europe. Though the film's budget details are unconfirmed, there are speculations about a significant sum, possibly Rs 400 crore, highlighting the project's scale. Additionally, the film is slated for an Eid 2025 release, adding to the excitement surrounding its debut.

‘Sikandar’ marks Rashmika's first collaboration with Salman Khan, director AR Murugadoss, and producer Sajid Nadiadwala.

Salman reveals film title

On Eid, Salman announced ‘Sikandar’. Revealing the film's title on Instagram, Salman posted, ‘Iss Eid 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan' aur 'Maidaan' ko dekho aur agli Eid Sikandar se aa kar Milo (Watch Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Maidaan on this Eid, next Eid, meet Sikandar). Wish u all Eid Mubarak!’

Salman Khan has a tradition of releasing films on Eid, starting with ‘Judwaa’ in 1997. Since then, he has entertained fans with blockbuster Eid releases like ‘Dabangg,’ ‘Bodyguard,’ ‘Ek Tha Tiger,’ ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan,’ ‘Sultan,’ ‘Bharat,’ and ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan.’

Salman was last seen in the action thriller ‘Tiger 3’, helmed by Maneesh Sharma. The film also starred Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi in lead roles.

She has since appeared in ‘Mission Majnu’ and ‘Animal.’ Rashmika will also star in ‘Chaava’ opposite Vicky Kaushal and is preparing for ‘Pushpa: The Rule’ with Allu Arjun in Telugu and ‘Kubera’ with Dhanush in Tamil.
