After admitting on a comedy show that she really wants to get married, Sonakshi Sinha tied the knot with man of her dreams. Contrary to their intimate registered marriage, the wedding reception of the couple was a star-studded affair.
Sonakshi Sinha chose royal red for her first appearance post wedding as she hosted a grand reception at Mumbai’s Bastian restaurant. The Bollywood actor complemented her red attire with vermillion and a red bindi. She wore heavy gold and Kundan jewellery with the outfit. Her husband, Zaheer Iqbal, on the other hand let his simplicity do all the talking. He wore an off-white bandh-gala suit.
Kajol, who attended the wedding reception, shared a fun video from the reception on her Instagram stories. Sonakshi can be seen smiling and dancing with her husband Zaheer Iqbal and other friends in the video. “Happy happy happy @aslisona And @imzahero wish u guys one ton of happy and joy,” Kajol wrote along with the video.
Among the other celebrities who attended Sonakshi’s reception were Salman Khan, Huma Qureshi, Saqib Saleem, Aditi Rao Hydari, Siddharth, Anil Kapoor, Aanand L Rai, Chunky Pandey and Aayush Sharma.
Meanwhile paps shared some inside pictures and videos of the couple’s wedding. In one such clip, Zaheer Iqbal touched the feet of Sonakshi’s parents, Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha, right after their wedding and hugged his wife. Aayush Sharma also shared an inside video of the wedding, where Zaheer is seen hugging and planting a kiss on the cheeks of his excited bride.
Sonakshi and Zaheer’s wedding took place at the actor’s Bandra apartment in presence of their close family members and friends. The ‘Heeramandi’ actor wore her mother’s vintage saree for her registered marriage. The ivory coloured saree had embroidery work all over it. The actor tied her hair in a bun and enhanced the look with some white roses. She kept her makeup and rest of the accessories to minimal.
