Sonam Kapoor-Anand Ahuja host David Beckham; Shahid Kapoor and others join the dinner party

Actor Sonam Kapoor and her husband Anand Ahuja hosted football legend David Beckham at their Mumbai home on Wednesday night. A slew of Bollywood celebrities like Shahid Kapoor, Mira Rajput, Arjun Kapoor, Malaika Kapoor, and Anil Kapoor were seen joining the intimate dinner party.

Beckham arrived for the dinner at Sonam’s home in an all-black outfit. The hosts Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja were also seen taking pictures with the former footballer.

For the party, Sonam Kapoor wore a white and red saree, while Anand complimented her in a black kurta.

Prior to the dinner, Beckham attended the World Cup semi-final match between India and New Zealand in the city.

At the match, he met Indian celebrities like Kiara-Advani, Sidharth Malhotra, Venkatesh Daggubati and others.

Pictures of the footballer with Bollywood couple Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani went viral on social media. In one, the trio was seen engaged in a conversation while in another all of them were seen standing, clapping and cheering for team India.

The pictures were shared by a fan page alongside a caption that read, ‘Candid moment of Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani with #DavidBeckham, Akash Ambani during India vs New Zealand semi final world Cup match at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai today!.’

South star Venkatesh Daggubatti also dropped a picture with David with a sweet caption that read, ‘Only the greatest company for this great innings.’

Beckham is on a three-day visit to India as the UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador. UNICEF and the International Cricket Council (ICC) joined hands to promote gender inclusion and women's empowerment through cricket.
