Singer Sonu Nigam and his team were attacked during a concert in Mumbai on February 20. Following the incident, the singer approached the Chembur police station to register a complaint, prompting the cops to file a case. A case has been registered against Swapnil Phaterpekar, son of a Shiv Sena MLA for voluntarily causing hurt, wrongful restraint and other charges.
Now, Swapnil’s sister Suprada Phaterpekar, who was present at the time of the incident, has told news agency ANI that her brother wanted to click a selfie with Sonu Nigam, & when he was doing so, there was a dispute between him & singer’s bodyguard.
She said it was just a ‘fan moment gone wrong’ and they later apologized to Sonu Nigam as well.
Sonu Nigam and his team were performing in Chembur on Monday and they were attacked over a selfie. In the scuffle, Sonu’s guru Ghulam Mustafa Khan’s son and his close aid Rabbani Khan along with his bodyguard sustained some injuries.
