SS Rajamouli's magnum opus 'RRR' is on a streak of winning international awards. The film has now bagged the Spotlight Award at the Hollywood Critics Association (HCA). Sharing the poster of the film, the Hollywood Critics Association announced the news on Twitter on Tuesday. The film-maker and the cast will receive the trophy at the 6th HCA Film Awards, which will be held in Los Angeles on February 24, 2023.
The team of 'RRR' was thrilled by the news and expressed its gratitude on Twitter. @SSRajamouli wins the prestigious New York Film Critics Circle Award for the Best Director! @NYFCC Words can't do justice to describe how happy and proud we are... Our heartfelt thanks to the jury for recognising #RRRMovie.', the team wrote.
Earlier, SS Rajamouli garnered the Best Director Award at The New York Film Critics Circle and the film won the Best International Picture at Atlanta Film Critics Circle.
'RRR' featured JR. NTR and Ram Charan in the lead roles. Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn also play pivotal roles in the film. The film was released in theatres in March this year and went on to become a huge box office success. The film grossed over ₹1,200 crore at the global box office.
