The ‘Live-in Song’, which got released yesterday (March 14), is all about the changing world of millennials and the trend of living together rather than getting married.
With Javed Akhtar penning the lyrics and singers Nikhita Gandhi and Mohit Chauhan lending their voices, this is Saregama Music's first attempt at addressing a very relevant subject in today's times through a song and introducing the concept of treating all couples equally and that 'Live In is also Cool.'
The song, which has been composed by Shameer Tandon and directed by Aditya Vinay Datt, is a step in a new direction. It aims to educate the minds of the older generation on the value of living in harmony with the 'one.'
Talking exclusively to editorji, Bibriti Chatterjee reveals what she felt when the song was offered to her. A super confident Bibriti said "I just started to be in a live-in relationship myself, when we were shooting for the song. The song is very close to me. When it came to my moving in with my partner, my family was pretty chilled about it. We didn't have any discussions nor had to seek anyone’s permission."
On his part, Ehan Bhat said that, what was most important for him was to get associated to the label ‘Saregama Music’. It was a dream come true for him. When the music label approached him, he was surprised, humbled and also honoured. The ‘icings’ on the cake were in the form of Mohit Chauhan (the singer of song) and his favourite lyricist (Javed Akhtar), who has beautifully penned the lyrics. Sharing his thoughts about the song, Ehan said that when he heard the song for the first time, he had goosebumps. He added he was very much sure that people would listen to the track on loop.
On the other hand, Dr. Shabiullah Syyed of Rainbow Children's Hospital also shared his thoughts about the song. He said that live-in relationship means living together without being married, which is still consider a taboo in India… although things are changing. People are opening up to the concept of live-in relationships in order to try and understand each other emotionally and mentally for the investment that they will put in later.
