Actor Athiya Shetty and cricketer KL Rahul tied the knot on January 23 in an intimate ceremony at Suniel Shetty's farmhouse in Khandala. Soon after their wedding, reports of the couple getting expensive luxury gifts started doing the rounds on the internet.
The reports stated that Bollywood celebrities gifted the couple a house worth Rs 50 crore, luxury cars, bikes and watches. However, when Bombay Times reached out to the family for confirmation on the same, they dismissed these rumours.
Suniel Shetty's spokesperson said that the reports published are absolutely baseless and not true, and requested the press fraternity to confirm details with the family before publishing incorrect information in the public domain.
On Monday, after the wedding ceremony, Athiya and Rahul took to their respective social media handles and shared beautiful pictures from the ceremony. Sharing the photos, they wrote, 'In your light, I learn how to love…” Today, with our most loved ones, we got married in the home that’s given us immense joy and serenity. With a heart full of gratitude and love, we seek your blessings on this journey of togetherness'.
