Tara Sharma and Koel Puri signed up for Zoya Akhtar’s ‘The Archies’

The Zoya Akhtar directed ‘The Archies’ it has been making news all over, courtesy its unique casting. The latest update about the film is that Tara Sharma and Koel Puri have now been signed up for the film. This news was first reported by Bollywood Hungama. As per a source who is aware about the shooting schedule of the film confirmed the news to Editorji as well.

The report stated that, both, Tara and Koel will be seen playing mother to Suhana Khan and Agastya Nanda in the film. While Tara Sharma has acted in films like ‘Page 3’, ‘Om Jai Jagdish’ and others, Koel Puri has acted in films like ‘The Zoya Factor’, ‘Everybody Says I’m Fine’, ‘The Great Indian Butterfly’ and others.

When Editorji spoke to Tara Sharma regarding the film, she said, ‘Its too early to speak anything about it now”. Attempts to reach Koel Puri did not yield any results.

For the unversed, Zoya Akhtar’s ‘The Archies’ will star ​Agastya Nanda as Archies, ​Suhana Khan as Veronica and Khushi Kapoor as Betty. The other actors in the film include ​Mihir Ahuja, ​ Aditi Dot, Yuvraj Menda and ​Vedang Raina, who will be reportedly seen in the role of Reggie Mantle.

‘The Archies’ is being readied to premiere on Netflix in 2023.
