‘Tiger 3’ advance booking: Salman Khan’s film becomes 5th highest earner of 2023; earns Rs 6.48 crores

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s much-awaited film ‘Tiger 3’ has had a strong start at the box office with its advance bookings. As per a Sacnilk report, the film has already sold over 2 lakh and 27 thousand tickets, with 2,17,992 being sold only in the Hindi belt.

The report mentioned that the film has earned Rs 6.48 crore from the sale of tickets for 9558 shows across India. The maximum number of shows of the film are in Maharashtra currently (1857), from where it has collected Rs 1.17 cr. The second highest number of shows are in Gujarat (1756), where it has amassed Rs 53.11 lakhs. Delhi currently has 943 shows of the movie. The 2D format of the film has sold tickets worth Rs 6.03 crore across the country.

The action thriller has emerged as the fifth highest-earning film of 2023 in its advance sale of tickets; crossing the advance sales of Karan Johar’s ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani’. It is behind ‘Jawan’, ‘Pathaan’, ‘Adipurush’ and ‘Gadar 2’.

Sanjeev Kumar Bijli, Executive Director, PVR INOX Limited, shared that ‘Tiger 3’ has attracted the audience beyond the Hindi belt.

He told PTI, ‘Despite the movie releasing on the Diwali day, we have already generated advance ticket sales of 100,000 tickets, including 60,000 for the 1st day. Considering the huge fan following of Salman Khan across the country, and with its dubbed versions in Tamil and Telugu, the movie has been able to attract audience attention beyond the Hindi belt.’

‘Tiger 3’ is the third film in Salman’s super hit ‘Tiger’ franchise, which includes ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ and ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’.

The Maneesh Sharma directorial also stars Emraan Haashmi as the antagonist. It is expected to have a cameo appearance of Shah Rukh Khan as Pathaan and Hrithik Roshan as Kabir from Yash Raj Films another spy-thriller, ‘War’.
