TV actor Tunisha Sharma's co-actor Sheejan Khan has been arrested on her mother's complaint under section 306 (abetment to suicide) of the Indian Penal Code and will be produced in court today. Tunisha and Sheejan were reportedly in a relationship and they recently parted ways which purportedly prompted her to commit suicide.
Tunisha was shooting for her show 'Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul' in Naigaon. As per NDTV report, the actor went to the washroom and did not return for a long time. When the door was broken down, she was found hanging. She was rushed to the hospital where she was declared brought dead.
Senior inspector Kailash Barve of Waliv police station said that the police team was at the spot. While those on the sets say that Tunisha Sharma died by suicide, cops say that they are probing all angles.
Tunisha Sharma started her acting career as a child artist on the Sony TV show 'Maharana Pratap', where she portrayed the role of Chand Kanwar. Since then, she has been part of many hit daily soap operas and Bollywood movies.
