Varun Dhawan and David Dhawan’s next film titled ‘Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’; deets inside

Gearing up for his next film ‘Baby John’, Varun Dhawan has a slew of projects lined up. The actor will be collaborating with his father David Dhawan for a romantic comedy. The film has a working title now and it seems that the filmmaker has finalised rest of the cast.  

Varun-David Dhawan's film gets a title

Fans can expect a mega entertainer coming their way as Varun Dhawan and David Dhawan will be joining hands for the fourth time. A Pinkvilla report suggests that the film has been titled ‘Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’. The title is a hit track from David Dhawan’s film ‘Biwi No. 1’. The commercial entertainer has reportedly gone on floors with a schedule in Mumbai.  

Earlier, the entertainment outlet reported that the makers have finalised Mrunal Thakur and Sreeleela as the female leads of the film. Besides, Maniesh Paul and Kubbra Sait are also part of the film and the talks are on to bring together a team of talented artists.

‘Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’ is being produced by Ramesh Taurani under TIP Entertainment. The makers are aiming a theatrical release on October 2, 2025 for the film.  

This would mark fourth time that the father-son duo is working together in a film. Earlier, the two have worked together in ‘Main Tera Hero’, ‘Judwaa 2’, and ‘Coolie No. 1’.

Varun Dhawan is currently gearing up for Atlee produced, ‘Baby John’ on December 25, 2024 after which he also has Karan Johar’s ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Dulhania’ which is scheduled to release on April 19, 2025. The actor also has ‘Citadel’ in the pipeline where he will be seen sharing screen with Samantha Ruth Prabhu.
