Veteran Bollywood actor Vikram Gokhale dies

Veteran actor Vikram Gokhale, who was admitted to Deenanath Mangeshkar hospital in Pune, passed away. He was undergoing treatment following health complications.

In an earlier conversation with Times of India, his wife Vrushali Gokhale had said that Vikram slipped into a coma on Wednesday afternoon, and was on the ventilator. She also mentioned that he had a multi-organ failure.

Condolences are pouring in for the actor on social media.

Vikram Gokhale has delivered some powerful performances in Hindi and Marathi films. He was best known for his work in films like 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam', 'Hey Ram', 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa' and 'Mission Mangal' to name a few. In 2010, Vikram Gokhale won a National Award for Best Actor for the Marathi film ‘Anumati' in 2013.

He was last seen in 'Nikamma', starring Shilpa Shetty and Abhimanyu Desai.
Vikram Gokhale was based in Pune over the last few years with his wife. He ran an acting academy in the city.
