Vijay is the son of ace Telugu TV director Deverakonda Govardhan Rao.

He has his own fashion brand
The actor paired up with an online fashion portal in 2020 to launch the premium clothing brand ‘Rowdy Wear’. The menswear brand includes sweatshirts, hoodies, shirts, T-shirts, and bottom wear and other items at an affordable price.

Debut as a lead
Vijay's first lead role was in ‘Pelli Choopulu’ (2016), which won several awards including the Best Feature Film in Telugu at the 64th National Film Awards and the Filmfare Award for Best Film in Telugu. He has had several back to back hits in his career, and some of which include ‘Arjun Reddy’, ‘Geetha Govindam’ among others.

In 2019, Vijay Deverakonda's produced a film called ‘Meeku Maathrame Cheptha’ with his production house, King of the Hill Entertainment. The actor also had a brief cameo in the movie.

Vijay Deverakonda has also tried filmmaking. He directed a short film ‘Madam Meerena’ as part of an assignment in just 5 hours.
