Cricket star Virat Kohli shared a heartfelt note on Instagram in appreciation of his wife, Anushka Sharma. A day after Team India lifted the T20 World Cup trophy, Virat ensured Anushka received the recognition she deserved for always being by his side.

‘None of this would remotely be possible without you my love. You keep me humble, grounded and you always say it how it is with absolute honesty. I couldn't be more grateful for you. This victory is as much yours as it's mine. Thank you and I love you for being YOU @anushkasharma,’ he wrote in his post.

Anushka Sharma penned a heartwarming post for Virat Kohli after India's second T20 World Cup victory since 2007, calling the cricketer ‘my home.’

Kohli, a 2011 ODI World Cup-winning team member, scored his first fifty of this tournament in the final against South Africa, making 76 off 59 balls with six fours and two sixes, helping India reach a competitive 176 for seven.

He also announced his retirement from T20 Internationals after leading the Men in Blue to their second T20 World Cup win and being named player of the match in Bridgetown, Barbados.

Anushka, who watched the match on TV, shared her post on Instagram shortly after the team's thrilling victory.

‘AND... I love this man @viratkohli. So grateful to call you my home - now go have a glass of sparkling water for me to celebrate this!’ she captioned her post.

In a separate note, the actor mentioned, ‘Our daughter's biggest concern was if all the players had someone to hug them after she saw them cry on tv..... Yes, My darling, they were hugged by 1.5 billion people. What a phenomenal victory and what a legendary achievement!! CHAMPIONS - CONGRATULATIONS!!’

After dating for several years, Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli tied the knot in 2017. They are parents to daughter Vamika and son Akaay.
