The makers of ‘Welcome To The Jungle’ have reportedly wrapped up the extensive schedule in Mumbai. According to News18, the Mumbai schedule includes a grand song with 500 dancers and a never-seen-before action sequence with 200 horses.
‘It will make for a never-seen-before action sequence. The safety of all these horses was thoroughly ensured while filming and the scenes were shot at a stretch for seven days,’ a source told News18.
Producer Firoz A Nadiadwallah is reportedly sparing no expense, with the action sequence being shot on a mammoth set spread across ten acres of land in Mumbai’s Film City. The cast and crew wrapped up a 40-day schedule a couple of weeks ago and will return to shoot more portions of the film in Mumbai soon.
‘These horses came from stables across Mumbai, Mahabaleshwar, Lonavala, and a few other places. The makers of the movie also put together a mammoth set spread across ten acres of land for the filming of the movie in Mumbai’s Film City,’ the source added.
Meanwhile, the actors are busy completing their other professional commitments.
‘Akshay and Arshad were busy shooting for the first schedule of Jolly LLB 3 in Rajasthan. Suniel, on the other hand, is caught up with Dance Deewane 4. They will soon begin the next schedule of Welcome To The Jungle along with other cast members,’ added another source
The highly anticipated third installment in the ‘Welcome’ franchise marks Akshay Kumar’s return to comedy and features an ensemble cast of over 30 actors.
Alongside Akshay are Suniel Shetty, Disha Patani, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Jacqueline Fernandez, Paresh Rawal, Arshad Warsi, Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Daler Mehndi, and Mika Singh, among others.
Sanjay Dutt, initially part of the film, has exited ‘Welcome To The Jungle’ due to health issues. The actor shot for a day on Madh Island, but his character's action demands led to his departure. The film, announced in 2023 with a cast performance in a cappella, is presented by Base Industries Group and directed by Ahmed Khan. It is scheduled for a theatrical release on December 20, 2024.
