Zeenat Aman opens up about being advised not to show off her silver hair

Veteran actor Zeenat Aman recently made her debut on Instagram and received a very warm welcome from fans and stars alike. The 'Don' actress, who took a sabbatical from acting after 'Panipat' is reportedly set to make her comeback. She's been active on Instagram ever since she joined and has been treating fans with beautiful photos along with heartfelt notes. Her latest photo has gone viral on the Internet as she opens up about showing off her silver hair in photos and how her friends reacted to it.

Sharing a photo, she wrote that she was initially reluctant to stop dyeing her hair, and was strongly advised against it. ‘Some well-wishers even said it would negatively impact my work opportunities. It was only once I contemplated upon my own hesitations that I realised I really don’t care to buttress our society’s idolisation of youth. Being young is wonderful, but so is being old. It thrills me to see more and more silver-haired women (of all ages) challenge the status quo,' she wrote.

Zeenat Aman had an illustrious career. She won the Miss India pageant in 1970 and made her acting debut the same year with the Dev Anand starrer 'The Evil Within'. Later, she was the part of some of the biggest hits of Industry like 'Satyam Shivam Sundaram', 'Don', 'Dostana', 'Qurbani', 'Professor Pyarelal', and many others.
