'Buniyaad' actor Mangal Dhillon dies of cancer

Actor and director Mangal Dhillon, who is best known for his role in TV serials 'Buniyaad' and 'Junoon' and Bollywood movie Khoon Bhari Mang, died due to cancer on June 11. 

He was undergoing treatment at a cancer hospital in Ludhiana.

Mangal first made his debut in the entertainment industry in 1986 with TV show Katha Sagar. In the same year, he appeared in another TV show titled Buniyaad and became a household name. 

He passed away a week before his birthday on June 18.  

He was also a producer-writer and has also worked in many Punjabi films.  

He is known for his TV shows like 'Kismat', 'Ghutan', 'Rishta', and 'Param Vir Chakra', among others.
