Many celebrities attended the second day of the grand opening of the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) including superstar Shah Rukh Khan. At the event, Emmanuel Lenain, Ambassador of France to India, met King Khan and shared a photo with the actor on Twitter. He wrote that he was trying to convince the ‘great’ Shah Rukh Khan to come back to France to shoot his films. He also added that the French want to see more of Bollywood.
‘Met the great Shah Rukh Khan yesterday in Mumbai. Tried to convince him to come and shoot again in France. French people would love to see more of Bollywood! @iamsrk,’ he tweeted.
SRK received France’s top civilian award, the Knight of the Legion of Honor, in 2014. The award was presented to him by visiting French Foreign Minister at the time Laurent Fabius. He was honoured for his outstanding contribution to cultural diversity across the world which only a few actors like Sivaji Ganesan, Kamal Haasan, and Soumitra Chatterjee have received so far.
Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in Siddharth Anand’s ‘Pathaan’, co-starring Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. The spy thriller is the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time; it has earned over ₹1,050 crore at the global box office.
