Actor-singer Jinyoung is all set to enlist in the military on May 8, 2023. The announcement was made on Wednesday when it was confirmed the member of the popular K-pop group GOT7 would serve in the military as an active-duty soldier.

As per his agency, BH Entertainment, Jinyoung will receive basic military training at the training centre. ‘He will then fulfill his military duty as an active-duty soldier,’ the statement read.

After the news was shared, Jinyoung shared a handwritten post on social media and asked them to not shed tears. He also assured them he was going to return healthy.

Jinyoung is the second member of GOT7 to enlist after Jay B. Besides him, other band members Youngjae and Yugyeom will be enlisting next too. Mark Tuan, Jackson Wang and BamBam won’t have to enlist as they are not South Korean citizens.

Jinyoung had released his first solo album titled ‘Chapter 0: WITH’ in January this year. He was the last member of GOT7 to release a solo album. He was last seen in Yumi’s ‘Cells 2’.
