Gurugram violence: Govinda claims no attribution in Haryana tweet; says his Twitter account was hacked

Govinda has claimed that he never tweeted anything on Gurugram violence and that his Twitter account has been hacked. 

The actor took to Instagram on August 3 and said that he hasn’t used his Twitter account in years and the Haryana tweet was not posted by him. He said, “Somebody has done this. I have not used the account in years. I am filing a complaint in the cyber cell against the matter. I would like to say me and my team have denied the claim. I will give this matter to cybercrime. I never discuss all this nor I ever will." 

Govinda’s tweet regarding the communal tension in Gurugram faced a lot of backlash and the actor’s Twitter account was deleted after that. 

Govinda’s tweet read: “What have we come down to? Shame on the people who call themselves Hindus and do such things. Aman aur shanti banaye, hum democracy hai, autocracy nahi!”
