Anne Heche has been declared legally dead a week after she crashed her car into a Los Angeles building, as per her representative. She will remain on life support to allow for a possible organ donation.
Anne Heche was admitted to the hospital with a severe brain injury since the deadly collision on August 5.
As per spokeswoman Holly Baird's statement, ‘Having lost all brain function, she is legally dead according to California law, though her heart is still beating as her family keeps her body on life support while exploring organ donations.’

In a joint statement, the family said that they have lost a bright light, a kind and most joyful soul, a loving mother, and a loyal friend.
Heche is best known for the 1990s movies 'Donnie Brasco’ and ‘Six Days, Seven Nights’.
