Singer-rapper Aaron Carter, younger brother of Backstreet Boys' Nick, has died at the age of 34. According to TMZ report, he was found dead in his bath at his home in Lancester, California, on November 5.
The representatives of his team have reportedly confirmed the news. According to PA news, the representative said, 'We're just as upset as everybody and hope fans can give their thoughts and prayers to his family.'
Aaron Carter was born on December 7, 1987, in Tampa, Florida. He started performing at the age of 7 and released his first solo album at the age of 9 in 1997. His second album 'Aaron's Party (Come Get It) released three years later and went triple platinum. It featured singles like 'I want Candy' and 'That's How I Beat Shaq'.
Carter was a regular on Nickelodeon and Disney shows, including 'Lizzie McGuire'. He went on multiple tours and concerts with Backstreet Boys. As his music progressed, Carter transitioned into rap. The singer had numerous legal and substance issues over the years. He went to rehab multiple times.
Tyler Hilton, One Tree Hill alum, and New Kids on the Block are among many to pay tribute to Aaron Carter. He is survived by his son, Prince.
