Hollywood stars Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are fighting a messy legal battle in court and it is getting intense day-by-day. Now, the 'Salt' actor’s email to her ex-husband has resurfaced on the internet. In the beginning of the letter, Jolie mentions that she is ‘putting this in writing so not to get emotional', before detailing her decision to sell the Winery, which is co- owned by Pitt. The couple had bought the Chateau Miraval winery in 2008 for about $28.3 million. They had a deal to hold onto their shares, but in the lawsuit Brad claimed that Angelina had sold her portion of their French property.
According to ET, Angelina in her email recalled that she had welcomed their twins Knox and Vivienne home to the Chateau Miraval, and this was the place where they tied the knot over a plaque of her mother’s memory.
‘It is the place we brought the twins [Knox and Vivienne] home to, and where we were married over a plaque in my mother’s memory. A place that held the promise of what could be and where I thought I would grow old. Even now impossible to write this without crying. I will treasure my memories of what it was a decade ago,’ she said.
Referring to Brad Pitt's struggle with alcohol abuse, she further added that Chateau Miraval also ‘marks the beginning of the end of their family and a business that centered around alcohol’.
‘I had hoped somehow it could become something that held us together and we found light and peace. I see now how you have really wanted me out and will most likely be pleased to receive this email,’ she wrote.
Earlier, details of her recent court filing had gone viral on the internet, in which Angelina claimed that during their 2016 private plane ride to Los Angeles, Brad Pitt allegedly choked one of their kids during an altercation.
On the work front, Brad Pitt last featured in 'Bullet train', Angelina was last seen in 'Eternals'.
