Batman has achieved a historic feat. The DC superhero has something now that no other superhero has managed to get. The fan favourite superhero became the first one to get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, one of the highest honour in Hollywood and received a Guinness title for this.
The Dark Knight rose to get his own star on September 26 in a ceremony attended by the CEO of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce Steve Nissen and DC Comics’ president Jim Lee. “Batman, being a superhero, was always present for fans in comic books, TV shows, movies, as well as cartoons and even in toys and video games, for the last 85 years,” Nissen said during the ceremony.
An actor dressed up as Batman also showed up during the ceremony. He posed for the pictures with the attendees and also clicked pictures with the superhero’s star. In films, Christian Bale, Ben Affleck, and Robert Pattinson have portrayed the iconic character.
Batman is one of the 20 fictional characters to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame while Mickey Mouse was the first one to get it.
