Popular sitcom ‘Frasier’ has been revived after 19 years with Kelsey Grammer returning to his iconic role of Frasier Crane.
According to Variety, the sitcom will debut with its first two episodes on Paramount+ on Oct. 12 in the U.S. and Canada and on Oct. 13 in all other territories. The first two episodes will air back-to-back on CBS on Oct. 17 at 9:15 pm ET/PT.
The new season of ‘Frasier’ consists of 10 episodes.
The first look photos and a teaser have been released by Paramount+ which show Kelsey Grammer performing show’s theme song ‘Tossed Salads & Scrambled Eggs’.
‘Frasier’ first premiered in 1993 and had 11 seasons.
According to a press release, ‘The new series follows Dr. Frasier Crane (Kelsey Grammer) in the next chapter of his life as he returns to Boston with new challenges to face, new relationships to forge and an old dream or two to finally fulfill’
Kelsey is the only original cast member set to return. Other stars who will appear in the show include Jack Cutmore-Scott, Nicholas Lyndhurst, Toks Olagundoye, Jess Salgueiro and Anders Keith.
‘Frasier’ is written by Chris Harris and Joe Cristalli, who have executive produce with Kelsey, Tom Russo and Jordan McMahon.
‘Frasier’ has won as many as 37 Emmys.
