1. Beyonce carries her maternal family name.
The popular artist’s mother, Tina Knowles-Lawson born as Celestine Beyoncé, always wanted to carry forward her maiden name to her future generations. According to a Vogue report, at the premiere of her 'Life Is But A Dream' documentary, her brother told, ‘My sister Tina [Knowles] didn’t think we had enough boys in the family to keep the [Beyoncé] name going. So, she gave Beyoncé our last name as the first name,' he said.
2. Who would believe young Beyonce was very shy. But all thanks to her dance teacher, Darlette Johnson, who encouraged her to participate in a school event. According to the report, in order to prepare for her role, she met women undergoing treatment and realised everyone has their own struggles in life. Bey reportedly opened an eponymous cosmetology centre at Phoenix House, a rehab facility in Brooklyn in the year 2010.

According to a Pinkvilla report, Beyoncé and Jay were seen collecting their marriage certificate in April, 2008 and then it came into notice that the couple had secretly tied the knot on April 4 that year.
5. The star owns two beehives and is appropriately known as Queen Bey
In her December 2020 cover interview with British Vogue, she said ‘I know it’s random, but I have two beehives. Real ones.’ She added, ‘I have around 80,000 bees and we make hundreds of jars of honey a year. I started the beehives because my daughters, Blue and Rumi, both have terrible allergies, and honey has countless healing properties.’
