BTS’ Jungkook secured the top honour at the 2023 Billboard Music Award with his solo track ‘Seven,’ featuring Latto. The song, with Korean actress Han So Hee, remains a chart-topper, dominating the global music scene since July 14, 2023.

‘Seven’ faced tough contenders like Fifty Fifty's ‘Cupid’, Jimin's ‘Like Crazy’, NewJeans's ‘Ditto’, and NewJeans's ‘OMG’.

During his award acceptance speech, Jungkook said, ‘It’s truly an honour. It’s very hard to express my gratitude in words. Thank you ARMY and everyone who loved this, without you, it wouldn’t have been possible. While working on Seven I enjoyed those moments and want to thank everyone and Billboard for giving me this award’.

JYP’s Stray Kids broke a 16-year-old record with their fourth Billboard 200 debut and claimed victory as they bagged the top K-pop album at the BBMA. Their album '5 Star' competed against other renowned releases like BTS’ Jimin’s, ‘FACE’, NewJeans’s 2nd EP ‘Get Up’, TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s ‘The Name Chapter: TEMPTATION’ and TWICE, READY TO BE: 12th Mini Album.

ADOR and HYBE’s NewJeans became the first 4th generation K-pop group to win BBMA alongside BLACKPINK who also clinched their first Billboard award at the prestigious musical night.

The night also witnessed the electrifying performances by Stray Kids for their title tracks ‘Thunderous’ from album ‘Noeasy’ and ‘ROCK’ from album ‘Oddinary’.

NewJeans performed on ‘Super Shy’ and ‘OMG’.

Taylor Swift was awarded Top Artist of the Year, beating Drake and SZA. She also won the Top Female Artist award this year. She was competing with Beyoncé, Miley Cyrus, Olivia Rodrigo and SZA in the category.

She was also named Top Billboard 200 Artist and Top Hot 100 Songwriter (New).

The biggest winner of the night was Morgan Wallen. The artist won 11 awards, including Top Male Artist.
